I have always had a passion for fitness and aquatics and have held a variety of positions within these fields from instructor to management. I joined the ISR team of Certified Instructors in 2014, and love the role I get to play in young childrens' lives and the influence and peace of mind their skills provide for families. I have taught over 1000 littles since 2014 learn to self-rescue in the water and I am forever grateful to the families who put their trust in me each day!
I love to watch the tiniest of babies roll onto their backs and rest and breathe and at the same time find such joy in helping the older children learn to be independent of their moms and dads for the first time or perhaps overcome a true anxiety as it relates to the water.
I am a graduate of local Wichita Heights High School and Wichita State University. I am also an American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor, maintain my First Aid and CPR certifications, and I attend annual re-certifications with Infant Swimming Resource and am continuing to strive to learn more each and every day.
I also am a mother to 4 awesome kids...and I've walked in your shoes as a parent to infants and toddlers and now teens. When I am not in the pool you can find me shuffling my kids off to sports practice, going for a run through the park or hanging with my family.
